Company Background

- INVINT Ltd. was formed in September 2003 when a team of management and employees purchased some of the assets of Sigtronics Limited. A small fundraising round was completed in December 2003, after first revenues being achieved in October. Collectively, the staff and management of INVINT have over 60 years of electronics experience, much of which is specifically in the interconnect field. Management and staff own a majority of the company.

The Directors of Invint are:

  • Bill Matthews, 40, Managing Director, was with Sigtronics from January 2000 to August 2003, prior to which he ran a semiconductor business for Motorola Inc. During a 15 year career with Motorola, Bill held senior positions in marketing, engineering and general management in Scotland and Austin, Texas. Prior to participating in the formation of INVINT Bill was CEO of Sigtronics. In INVINT Bill is responsible for all commercial aspects in addition to his role as MD.








  • George Freeland, 52 Chairman of the Board of Directors, has 20 years experience at the top level of International and domestic companies active in a variety of fields in technology and volume CEM supply. He is also executive chairman of Westica and is a member of the board of Nallatech.











  • John Jardine, non-executive Director. John Jardine has spent a lifetime in the electronics industry in Scotland and the U.S.A., and has been instrumental in the growth of Elcomatic, a company that he founded over 40 years ago.





  • The board are also delighted to be able to call upon the support of Bill Miller, O.B.E., founder of Prestwick Circuits, and a past President of the IPC (US printed circuit board trade association). Bill has accepted the position of Strategic Advisor to the Board of INVINT and makes a strong contribution to the strategy and direction of INVINT.
